Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using SteadWell, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
2. Who can use SteadWell
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account on your own. If you are a minor, you may only use SteadWell with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. SteadWell is not directed to children under 13 and they should not use it.
3. Not medical advice
SteadWell is an informational and educational tool. It is not a medical device, a healthcare provider, or a substitute for professional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing in the app is medical, nutritional, or psychological advice. Always consult a qualified professional, such as a physician or registered dietitian, before starting, stopping, or changing any diet, exercise, supplement, or weight management plan, and especially if you are pregnant or nursing, are under 18, have any medical condition, take medication, or have a history of an eating disorder. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read in the app. If you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
4. Estimates and AI limitations
Calorie counts, macronutrients, food identification from photos, barcode lookups, weight and progress projections, and coaching responses are estimates produced by software and by third party data. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and they are not exact. Do not rely on them as precise figures. Verify anything important on your own.
5. Allergy and dietary safety
The allergy and dietary features are an aid only and cannot guarantee that any food is safe for you. Ingredient information may be wrong, missing, or outdated, products and recipes change, and the AI can make mistakes. You must always read the actual product label and full ingredient list yourself before eating, and you should never rely only on SteadWell, particularly if you have a severe or life threatening allergy. We are not responsible for any allergic reaction or adverse health effect.
6. Healthy and responsible use
SteadWell is meant to support balanced, sustainable habits. It is not intended to encourage extreme restriction or unhealthy behavior. If you are struggling with food, weight, or body image, please reach out to a qualified professional or a support service in your area.
7. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use SteadWell for any unlawful purpose, not to interfere with or disrupt the service, not to attempt to access other users data, and not to copy, reverse engineer, or resell the app except where the law allows it.
9. Third party services and content
SteadWell depends on third parties, including AI providers and public food databases, to identify foods and generate suggestions. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of those third party services.
10. Intellectual property
SteadWell and its name, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non transferable license to use the app for your own non commercial use. All other rights are reserved.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will help you reach any particular health or weight result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SteadWell and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health outcome, loss, or injury, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising out of your misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of others.
14. Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We may also suspend or end your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using SteadWell at any time.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and the operator of SteadWell agree that the state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms, except where mandatory consumer protection laws where you live give you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
