SteadWell

Privacy Policy

Version 1.3 · Effective August 23, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information SteadWell collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy. Because SteadWell is a health and nutrition app, some of the information you give us is sensitive, and we ask for your consent to handle it so we can provide the service.

2. Information you give us

When you sign up and use SteadWell, you provide your email and a password, and you build a profile that can include your age, sex, height, weight, goal weight, activity level, dietary preferences, and food allergies. You also create logs of the foods and meals you eat and your weight over time. When you use the photo or coach features, you submit meal photos and the messages you type.

3. Health related information

Much of what you enter, such as weight, body measurements, dietary choices, and allergies, is health related. You consent to us processing this information for the purpose of running the features you ask for, such as calculating targets, tracking progress, and giving suggestions.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to operate and improve the app, to calculate your calorie and macro targets, to analyze food photos, to answer your coaching questions, to flag possible allergens, and to keep your account secure.

5. AI and third party processing

To identify foods, estimate nutrition, and generate coaching answers, your meal photos, logged foods, and coach messages may be sent to third party providers. These can include AI providers, and public food databases. Please do not submit photos or details you would not want processed this way.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from accountability groups, which you choose to join and which are described below, we share it only with the service providers needed to run the app, when we are required to by law, or to protect rights and safety.

7. Accountability groups

If you choose to join an accountability group, the other members of that group can see a limited summary of how you are doing: your logging streak, how many days you logged in the past week, how close you are to your goal as a percentage, whether you are on track, and the first name on your profile. They cannot see your weight, your calories, your targets, the foods you log, or your email address. Groups are entirely optional and are never switched on for you. You can leave a group at any time, and your summary stops being shared with its members immediately. Deleting your account removes you from every group you are in.

8. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data, and we will do so unless we are required to keep some of it by law.

10. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information by contacting us at support@steadwellapp.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

11. Children

SteadWell is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

12. International users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one you live in, where data protection laws may differ.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, ask you to review the new policy.
